There is some progress in our struggle.Our writ challenging the recent amendment to Ceiling Act has been admitted in the Bombay High Court.Adv.Mihir Desai has done yet another marvellous job.

This makes things different at the field level.So far only four persons had sown the land.Since the huts were destroyed,the tribals were staying on the fringes of the lands they occupied earlier.We are meeting tomorrow.We are going to move into the land enmass from tomorrow onwards.Since the matter is sub judice,the official may not tamper with the huts of the tribals.

We hope to go to the press within a few days.We also hope to meet some leading left politicians in Maharashtra to pressurise the government.Elections are approaching in Maharashtra.So let us try our best.Our experience during Lok Sabha election was bad.Prior to the elections we had put up the huts.They were not destroyed for a month.Immediately after the elections all the huts were destroyed.We are trying this time again.But with better legal standing.

It is the encouragement of friends that kept the tribals going. These poor tribals who have lost everything except hope and a sense of determination,are inspiring.A people who stood up against all odds.We know we are going to win.It will take more time and may be more lives.But the sacrifices made by our slain leaders are bearing fruits now.
