More huts destroyed

We put up huts on 1st April. We had sent you appeals. The huts lasted till the elections were over.About 40 of them disappeared when we went to the court for a case.We could not file fresh cases.

We have put up ONE hut .A shear defiance to the system which regards our rights as a luxury.More huts will be put up soon. . ,25th June is coming closer. The 3rd anniversary of that horrendous day.Our dead leaders are the source of our inspiration. We expect your solidarity.I shall forward a letter of invitation from our activists for the programme.

We hear that Amnesty International has indicted the Government of Maharashtra in its annual report on violation of the basic rights of the adivasis in and around Puntamba.I have not seen either the report or the news.

The JMFC has rejected our plea for a stay order. We are going to appeal. We wonder why simple natural justice is being denied to us.

Our Bhima, Thukaram,Malhan,Ghorak,Poppat etc have an indomitable spirit. They put up the huts again and again.A small group which dares to raise voice against an unjust system. Will their voice ever be heard?
