Lots of things happening

Lot of things are happening.

The judicial enquiry comes to an end. By March end the report will be out.

Eviction cases are still being filed. Damn slow due to a number of problems. No certificates. The tribals messing up the names in court. About 20 cases are pending with an advocate. By Tuesday we hope to file a few of them.

We do not have the GR which says that tribals need not pay court fee stamps in civil suits. I have been writing to so many of friends. No help yet. The compensation cases are yet to be filed. I hope the judge will excuse our delay.

Regarding the murder casee of the tribals. It is on board. It will be disposed off within a few days. A number of officials including a district collector will be in trouble.

Our writ regarding the Land Ceiling Act will be heard in Mumbai High Court on 3rd February.

We are planning to go back to the lands within a few days. Date will be fixed one of these days. A few formalities have to be completed. Five of the tribals will put up the huts and see what happens. It will take place on 18th Feb. We are waiting for all the cases to be filed. There may be trouble. Since we filed cases against the officials they will definitely file cases against us.

If our claims were not genuine, there was no reason why we should have been evicted forcefully without legal notice. We are approaching the collector once again, with a 15days notice, for report of the enquiry conducted by him in response to the High Court Order. The collector had come out with a notice that the land can not be given to us without a full-fledged enquiry report. If he does not give us the report, we have to go back to the High Court once again.

That the collector not giving us the full-fledged enquiry report despite repeated requests is the sign of our success. But we have to fight it out.

with warm regards
