A Herculean Task

Our contact persons in Delhi went to NHRC.No use. They say that the original applicants only can have the access to information. We needed it for our cases in the lower court.

Our writ petition was withdrawn. Our revision petition before the revenue commissioner has to be followed up. With NHRC verdict, if in our favour, we may be able to make some headway.

We were in the process of filing private complaints against the officials. We received severe set back because most of the tribals do not have their caste certificate which shows that they are tribals. It is a herculean task to get this certificates. If we had these the Attrocity Act would have been applicable.Half a dozen attrocity cases have been filed. They had the caste certificate.

Our case in the High Court challenging the amendment to Ceiling Act will be heard by the Chief Justice tomorrow.
