Obstacles in the courts

I was in the High court on Monday. It was the hearing on a murder case. One of our  tribals  was  murdered by a rich and powerful landlord  and his body was  found in the landlord's well   seven years ago.

The  officials  informed  the court that  the  relevant  papers are missing.A special  search team is  constituted to search for  the papers with the  sessions  judge supervising the operation. The  tahasildar, police officials, the Sub divisional officer ,an IAS officer, all in  trouble .   .They are  asked to file affidavits. They  were all  present in the court. The landlord also was there in the court.

With this kind of a company as my "well" wishers, dangers are mounting.I do not know what the  officials who demolished  the huts and  crops will do with 108 attrocity cases  against them.

A summons  has gone to the official for demolishing the  huts of  the  tribal. Many more  cases  are  ready.Six will be  filed  on Thursday. It was  a  very slow process. We had a number  of  hurdles.

Our  writ  in Aurangabad High Court regarding the  demolition had  to be  withdrawn. Our writ  in Bombay  is  still  pending.

Our  going  back to the  land is becoming a  difficult task.We have to resort a different  strategy.Let  us  file  the criminal cases  first.

More of  it later.
